Polyamide 12 or short PA12 is a semicrystalline thermoplastic material with a long chain and excellent material properties. In general, the high performance PA12 polymers absorb little water, are resistant to polar and non-polar solvents, have a low tendency to creep and high impact strength, and can be used over a wide temperature range between extremely cold and high temperatures .
This combination of material properties makes polyamide 12 suitable for various demanding applications such as lightweight automotive or aerospace parts, medical devices for temporary body contact or metal-free solutions for the oil and gas industry.
