Send EmailThe PostPro SF50 PURE is a patented, compact chemical vapor smoothing system that combines efficient post-processing capabilities with Industry 4.0 automation and plug-and-play functionality, making it an excellent choice for improving surface quality in additive manufacturing.
The PostPro SF50 PURE is a patented chemical vapor smoothing device used to post-process thermoplastic 3D printed parts. This system, which has a 50-liter processing chamber, is optimized for prototyping and low-volume manufacturing, making it excellent for R&D, design, and production activities. The SF50 PURE is a development of AMT's vapor smoothing technology, with additional features that provide a more efficient user and production experience.
The system generates no waste and recycles all consumables, including AMT's environmentally friendly PostPro Pure consumable. This method can smooth and seal both the surface and internal cavities of 3D printed polymer objects, while also increasing their mechanical qualities. The SF50 PURE is compatible with a wide range of materials created using powder bed fusion technologies (e.g., SLS, MJF, HSS, SAF™) and extrusion-based printing techniques (e.g., FFF, FGF, HSE, FDM). The PostPro SF50 PURE includes Industry 4.0 automation features, which enable easy interface with external Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
Technical data:
Processing Chamber: 400 x 300 x 400 mm
Processing Chamber Volume: 48 liters
Compatible Technologies: MJF, SLS, HSS, SAF™, FFF, FGF, HSE, FDM
Compatible Materials: Rigid plastics: PA6, PA11, PA12, ABS, PC, and Polypropylene (PP), Elastomers: TPEs, TPUs, PEBAs, SBCs and Composite materials with glass, carbon, or mineral fillers
The PostPro SF50 PURE uses AMT's unique chemical vapor smoothing technique to improve the surface quality of 3D printed thermoplastic components. This procedure exposes additively built components to precisely controlled vapor conditions, yielding smooth surfaces, enhanced mechanical performance, and sealed, sterilizable surfaces. The non-line-of-sight method enables for consistent smoothing of complex geometries and internal cavities, making it suitable for a wide range of applications in industries including medical, automotive, and consumer products. The method can produce surface finishes with a RA of less than 1 micron, comparable to the quality of injection-molded components.
The PostPro SF50 PURE includes a fully closed-loop vapor smoothing system that promotes operator safety and environmental sustainability. It produces zero waste and integrates complete consumable recycling, with AMT's sustainable PostPro Pure consumable providing safe and ecologically responsible operation. This strategy provides operator safety while also aligning with modern production environmental aims. The system's green chemistry is FDA-approved, making it appropriate for use in industries with stringent regulatory requirements, such as medical device production and food contact applications.
The PostPro SF50 PURE is compatible with a wide range of materials created using various 3D printing technologies. It is capable of processing parts created using powder bed fusion methods (SLS, MJF, HSS, SAF™) as well as extrusion-based printing techniques (FFF, FGF, HSE, FDM). The method is compatible with rigid polymers such as PA6, PA11, PA12, ABS, PC, and PP, as well as elastomers like TPEs, TPUs, and PEBAs. Its adaptability makes it appropriate for a wide range of applications across numerous sectors. Furthermore, the technology can handle composite materials containing glass, carbon, or mineral fillers, broadening its potential applications.
Designed with Industry 4.0 principles in mind, the PostPro SF50 PURE integrates seamlessly with external Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems. This plug-and-play flexibility makes it more accessible and easy to utilize in current manufacturing environments, allowing for effective workflow integration and process monitoring. The system has an automated recipe system and a user-friendly interface, making it suitable for operators of all skill levels. Users may quickly input part attributes and processing parameters, assuring consistent results across batches.
The PostPro SF50 PURE has a 50-liter processing chamber and is designed exclusively for quick and effective post-processing of prototypes and small production runs. Its compact size makes it perfect for research and development activities, as well as design and manufacturing applications where space is restricted yet high-quality surface finishing is essential. The system's ability to process numerous parts at the same time, combined with its short cycle times, results in greater efficiency in terms of possible throughput, lowering cost-per-part for low to medium volume production runs.
The PostPro SF series comes with a number of smart and advanced security features. It has a Safety Circuit, which features a front-mounted emergency stop (E-Stop) button, allowing operators to swiftly halt operations in the event of an emergency. The User Interface (HMI) has a 21.5-inch touch screen with 1080p Full HD quality, offering clear insight into system status and processing parameters for easy navigation and control. Furthermore, the PostPro SF series uses RFID canister recognition technology for consumable management, ensuring failsafe connections that speed up the replacement process while improving safety by eliminating wrong installations. The system also has RFID-controlled user access, which limits operation to only authorized workers, adding an extra degree of protection.
